Lasers lose Warwickshire Ladies competition by two baskets in a tough single day tournament.
Lasers Ladies arrived at the one day tournament missing defensive player of the year, Atkin and the combined energy and passion of Francis and Henry. Up against four other teams, Loughborough University, Kettering, Tile Hill and Moat, the team expected a tiring and difficult day.
The first two games proved that the running clock format can make for some very close matches. In the first game, Lasers faced Loughborough University, edging the young & tall team by 3 points at the final whistle. The second game against Kettering was a touch closer, with the opposition playing an exceeding aggressive denial defence in an attempt to spoil the Lasers offence. At 28 − 26 in Lasers’ favour and only seconds left in the game, Kettering brought the ball down court and under quite good Lasers defence, launched a successful Hail Mary 3-point attempt from well beyond the arc. Unfortunately for the Northamptonshire based team, the table officials had called end-of-game before the shot had been put up and the subsequent basket disallowed. After some moments of confusion, the referee declared the victory to Lasers, leaving the Kettering coach fuming.

Club secretary and womens team coach, Kev Henry, announced the individual players awards during the Club end of season meal.
With many tales of daring play and not a small amount of alchoholic beverages consumed, the 2010/2011 individual player awards were made in the pleasant surroundings of The Chameleon, Birmingham.

15 - 1 record leads Lasers womens team to their first West Midlands Basketball League title.
An impressive first season for the Perry Barr based team was wrapped up with a game in hand during the run in to the end of the season. After winning against Redditch at home, a tricky return leg sealed the first league title for Lasers. With both teams finding it difficult to score in the opening exchanges, it looked like the visitors were in for a tough game. A 3 pointer by Lasers number 8, Weetman, started the scoring for the away team. With a bevy of hard working baskets, Lasers jumped to a 9 point lead mid way through the first quarter. A good period of inside play by Redditch brought the score to 4 - 9, but it was the long 3 pointer by Redditch number 7, Rhodes, at the buzzer that lent an air or respectability to the home teams score.
